Full Moon Series 2024 - Harvest Moon

With the cycle of the phases of the Moon lasting approximately one month, and there being 12 months in a year, we typically have 12 full moons each year

This year, Blue Moon is occuring on 17th Sept,2024.

The full moon in September is often referred to as the Corn Moon or the Barley Moon, as these names reflect the time of the year when these crops are traditionally harvested. When this full moon occurs closest to the autumnal equinox, it is also known as the Harvest Moon. The Harvest Moon is notable for its early rising and extended period of brightness, which historically allowed farmers to work late into the night under its light.
